A modern reinterpretation of the classic classifieds platform, focusing on user trust, intuitive navigation, and a visually streamlined experience for the digital age.
Developed as a practice for my skills.
The Challenge
Craigslist, while iconic and functional, suffers from a severely outdated user interface that leads to poor usability, a lack of visual hierarchy. Its dense, text-heavy design overwhelms new users and fails to meet modern expectations for online marketplaces.
Creative Solution
This redesign modernizes Craigslist by introducing a new grid system and intuitive layout that dramatically improves navigation and scannability, while respectfully retaining its iconic color scheme and core functionality. By reorganizing elements, establishing clear visual hierarchy, and preserving the platform's essential features, the update delivers a vastly more user-friendly and efficient experience without losing the familiar identity of the original site.
The whole settings / account management changed.
New combined categories so it will be less jumping between tabs. also the whole layout is more intuitive and inviting to make the necessary change.
