Visual Identity
The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) is Japan's premier cinematic celebration, showcasing an extraordinary blend of artistry, storytelling, and cultural exchange. Since its inception in 1985, TIFF has become a global platform for filmmakers, bringing together diverse voices and audiences from around the world.
Developed as part of my design studies at Studio 6B

The Challenge
The Tokyo International Film Festival needed a bold visual identity that captured the spirit of cinema and the unique energy of Tokyo. The previous system lacked flexibility and failed to reflect the festival’s cultural depth or international presence. The challenge was to create a distinctive, cinematic identity that could work seamlessly across mediums while balancing tradition, innovation, and global appeal.
Creative Solution
The TIFF logo blends filmmaking motifs with minimalism Viewfinder (framing stories), Record Button (capturing moments also Japanese flag), and Screen Square (the cinematic canvas). The design is modern , embodying the festival’s global yet distinctly cinematic spirit.
